Specifically, regarding the Auschwitz I camp, there is a guided tour of about a good hour and a half in which an experienced escort will be present to explain every aspect and answer any questions.

To visit Auschwitz, remember that advance reservations are mandatory, but more specifically, as you have no doubt realized, it is highly recommended to reserve priority entry with accompaniment by an experienced guide.

For a complete visit, we recommend carving out at least three and a half hours; we also suggest taking advantage of the free shuttle to move from Auschwitz I to Auschwitz II – Birkenau.

It is good to avoid clothes that are too low-cut or too short out of respect for the places visited, you should also remember that it is forbidden to bring backpacks or bags larger than the measurements of 30x20x10 cm.

As for the opening of the museum-camp, you can plan your visit on any day of the year with the exception of December 25, January 1 and Easter. However, opening hours vary depending on the month you choose, with restricted hours (8 a.m.-3:30 p.m.) in December and extended hours (8 a.m.-8:30 p.m.) in the summer months.

Be careful: you will be able to enter the concentration camp no later than an hour and a half before it closes, however, we do not recommend this, considering that by doing so, you will not have time to enjoy a complete and exhaustive visit.
